I have always considered myself a Maker. I’ve been creating things for as long as I can remember. My current passion is stitchery. (Things created with a needle and thread.) I’ve come along way from sewing in my days of 4-H. With each new trick or technique I learn, it opens the possibilities for other projects. And therein starts the dangerous cycle.
As a teacher by trade, I crave learning and understanding. My journey as a maker to learn all I can about stitchery is a work in progress. I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface in terms of what can be done with a needle, thread, and fabric.
I have so many projects that are works in progress (WIPs) – started and in various stages of being finished. I wanted a place to catalog my thoughts, ideas, and projects and share my experiences and newfound knowledge on stitchery. I hope that as I embark on this creative journey I finish a few WIPs (because I know I’ll start many more!)
I’m excited to start this new year and new adventure here on WIPstitchery! If you don’t want to miss out on anything I share, be sure to follow me on social media!
